My Sambapur: Foodie's delight -II

Rise up rise up to sip your tea,
At Y shaped crossing in Ainthapali.

Cool and fresh air of town will set you free,
While you start your day with soft idlis.

Lunch and Hyder have close affair,
Romance of biryani with curry is yummy.

While you gulp Shakti’s gulabjamun pairs,
You hardly care for your inflated tummy.

Inexplicable joy that Golebazar Jalebi brings ,
King-sized paan only adds to fun.

Hongkong Chinese is  next to best thing,
To make your evening with chow-chow and prawn.

When the town is quiet at night,
And your taste-buds savored all foods.

You would be lulled to sleep under dim light,
With happy, relaxed and satiated mood.

My Sambalpur: Foodie’s delight

Wafting aroma made its way to my nose,
I traced it to  Disco Gupchup stall.

It titillated my tongue making saliva flow,
While I gulped plateful of spicy panipuri balls.

I scooted my moped through sleepy lanes,
And made a halt at Baidhnath Chakk.

“Mis”ordered green bhaang kulfi,
Resulting serpentile walk across Saan Sadak.

I sank onto a bench at sweet shop of Nanda Pada,
Relishing  a pair of Gulabjamuns.

Then went down to stair of ring road,
Gazing at placid water and full moon.

And slowly munching that king sized paan,
Waiting the hangover to calm down.

This is how I called it a day,
With lovely food at my lovely town.
